MOORHEAD, MINN. – The Red River Valley SWAT team assisted authorities in Moorhead with a search warrant execution Tuesday.
According to a news release, it happened at 4 p.m. in an apartment building located in the 1900 block of 18th Avenue South. SWAT assisted Moorhead Police and the Metro Street Crimes Unit with the high-risk, no-knock warrant service due to the suspect’s known criminal history.
The resident, 43-year-old James Schaan, was located inside and taken into custody. He had outstanding warrants from Clay County for attempted theft and Hennepin County for theft of a motor vehicle.
Schaan is in the Clay County Jail.
