Man arrested after multiple bomb threats in Fargo-Moorhead

MOORHEAD, Minn. – A Moorhead man faces threats of violence charges after three bomb threats were made on Tuesday, January 27.

Moorhead Police was called after a bomb threat was left on a Clay County Social Services employee’s voicemail around 8:30 AM. That office is a few blocks away from the law enforcement center.

The employee knew the caller and didn’t believe the threat was credible based on other interactions with them.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office and Moorhead Police said they found the man made two more bomb threats to other Fargo-Moorhead businesses.

When officers and deputies tried to contact the man at his home, police say he made more threats.

Officers cleared the area and used a search warrant to enter the home and arrest 59-year-old Troy Johnson.
