Minnesota’s Chief Justice of the State Supreme Court announces retirement

ST PAUL, MINN – Minnesota’s Supreme Court Chief Justice is retiring.

Natalie Hudson announced her retirement recently, according to Governor Tim Walz.

Hudson joined the Supreme Court after then-Governor Mark Dayton appointed her in October 2015. She was elected Associate Justice in 2016 and 2022. In 2024, she was elected as Chief Justice.

Walz says Hudson will be remembered for a lifetime of service ‘to those seeking fairness and justice in our courts.’
