Scott Hennen’s interview with Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library Executive Director Robbie Lauf
MEDORA, N.D. – As the construction continues at the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library (TRPL) in Medora, leaders are getting excited for its opening on July 4, 2026.
“We’re thrilled and excited for it,” TRPL Executive Director Robbie Lauf said. “We’re about 80 percent of the way done with construction.”
Construction began in 2023.
He says learning about the late president will change with the opening of the library. Through the use of modern technology, visitors to the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library will actually get to talk to the late president.
“You’re actually going to be able to engage and talk with Theodore Roosevelt through the power of artificial intelligence and discuss with him both his life and legacy as a president, but also talk to him about topics of great significance that are going on today,” Lauf said.
The library will contain artifacts from Roosevelt’s life and time in office.
