MOORHEAD, MINN – The Moorhead City Council will act on three joint powers agreements with the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) at its regular meeting tonight.
The first agreement is for the participation in the Minnesota Anti-Heroin Task Force (AHTF). That task force program provides ‘investigative support and overtime reimbursement for heroin, opioid, and overdose-related investigations.’
The city will also act on an agreement for participation in the Minnesota Human Trafficking Investigators Task Force (MNHITF) as an affiliate agency. The task force is a statewide initiative led by the BCA aimed at combating both sex and labor trafficking through a coordinated, multi-agency approach.
The third agreement is for participation in the Minnesota Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. It’s also a statewide initiative led by the BCA to combat the exploitation of children via technology
