MOORHEAD, MINN. – Moorhead Police and the Moorhead Area Public Schools say an investigation is underway after the school received word of a social media post involving a gun.
The post was made by a middle school student.
Moorhead Area Public Schools said in a statement that the Moorhead Police Department is actively investigating and has confirmed the item shown was a water gun.
The student is not in school and will not return until the police department’s investigation is complete.
Both the school district and police department say there is no threat to the school district.
