N.D. Attorney General’s Office issues cease & desist order against Prairie Abortion Fund

BISMARCK, N.D. – North Dakota Attorney General Drew Wrigley has issued a cease and desist order to Fargo-based Prairie Abortion Fund which Wrigley said is actively promoting and facilitating the unlawful sale of abortion pills in the state.

The order accuses the nonprofit of violating North Dakota’s consumer fraud law for  promoting products required to be given under the supervision of a doctor.

“These actions pose a significant health risk to pregnant women and facilitate the violation of North Dakota’s healthcare requirements, in part, by taking doctors out of the equation.” said Attorney General Wrigley.

Wrigley pointed out the Prairie Abortion Fund website that has links to other websites for drugs he says aren’t FDA approved and have ingredients that require a prescription and a supervising physician.

Wrigley said the Bureau of Criminal Investigation bought pills from websites promoted by Prairie Abortion Fund without giving health information or providing verification of age or identity.

“As a North Dakota nonprofit corporation, by referring and actively linking to websites that unlawfully sells products, Prairie Abortion Fund lends credibility and trustworthiness to unlawful websites that otherwise would look much more suspicious.” Wrigley stated.

Flag Family News reached out to Prairie Abortion Fund for a statement, but we haven’t heard back.
