(Washington, DC)  --  The wait may be over for kids ages 5-11 to roll up their sleeves during the pandemic.

Some 28-million children could start getting COVID shots by the end of next week. That's the word from the nation's top expert on coronavirus.

Dr. Anthony Fauci says he's optimistic Pfizer's vaccine will be approved soon for children in the age group as FDA advisors meet tomorrow. The original timeline laid out by medical personnel was to have the shots available by Halloween.
