(Heathrow, FL) -- There's new hope for relief at the pump as gas prices are the highest in seven years.
Triple-A puts the new national average at three dollars and 40 cents a gallon. That's essentially the same as Monday, only down one-tenth of a cent. It's the slightest drop but the first time prices have shown any decrease after 34 straight days.
California drivers continue to pay the most at four-61 while Oklahoma is the cheapest at three-oh-one.
Here in Fargo, Gas Buddy still says the average price per gallon is $3.17 a gallon.
