(Bismarck, ND) -- Ukrainian media is reporting that an official who was allegedly the target of an assassination plot by a North Dakota farmer is losing his position.

Ukrainian Minister of Agriculture Roman Leshchenko is likely to be dismissed in the coming months. He reportedly hasn't attended any official events or meetings this year. There is speculation that the scandal surrounding the allegations against Kurt Groszhans is another reason Leshchenko is set to be out of the government.

Groszhans is being detained in Kyiv.
