(Washington, DC) -- The producer price index for February rose slightly less than expected for one month.

Numbers out today from the Labor Department show the PPI rose eight-tenths percent from January, after analysts forecast a one-point-one percent rise. The experts were right on the mark with their year-over-year forecast.

Last month's PPI was up ten-percent over February of 2021, exactly what analysts predicted.
