(Washington, DC) -- The founder of the far-right Oath Keepers group is being added to a lawsuit over last year's Capitol riot. Washington D.C. Attorney General Karl Racine added Stewart Rhodes and five other defendants. The lawsuit was originally filed in December. After adding the latest defendants, Racine tweeted, "We're committed to bankrupting the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys who conspired in the attack." When Racine originally filed the lawsuit, he said the goal was to "seek the maximum level of financial penalty."
