(New York, NY) -- A vegan meal kit company is facing a pair of lawsuits.
Two customers of Daily Harvest claim they needed their gallbladders removed after consuming one of its products. The company recently issued a voluntary recall of its French Lentil and Leek Crumbles after customers reported becoming sick.
One of the lawsuits filed against Daily Harvest says the person "became violently ill, required hospitalization and endured the surgical removal of his gallbladder." It also argues Daily Harvest didn't do enough to warn consumers about the dangers of its product.
