(Aspen, CO) -- Two members of Congress say biological and chemical weapons could pose a national security threat by targeting the nation's food supply and soldiers' DNA.

The warnings came at the Aspen Security Forum. Colorado Congressman Jason Crow said weapons under development could allow an enemy to take a person's DNA from a family research company and target a biological weapon that would kill or disable the person.

Iowa Senator Joni Ernst said biological weapons can be equally dangerous if they're designed to target food systems, rather than people.
