(Doha) -- Leo Messi continues to set records.
Less than 24 hours after winning the World Cup with Argentina, Messi broke an Instagram record.
His post featuring a picture of him lifting the World Cup trophy along with a thank you note to his family, friends and fans is now the most liked post by an athlete on the social media platform.
As of Monday morning, Messi's post has been liked more than 43-point-two-million times.
The post overtook fellow soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo's post of him and Messi playing chess together.
