(Fargo, ND) — IKEA plans to spend more than two-billion dollars and open more than a dozen new U.S. stores.
It’s the Swedish home furnishings giant’s biggest investment ever in America. IKEA announced this week that it will spend close to two-point-two billion dollars opening 17 new U.S. stores over the next three years.
The company says the investment will also strengthen its fulfillment network and improve delivery services.
It’s the first of several phases of expansion planned over the next decade in what IKEA calls one of its most important markets.
