(Washington, DC) -- President Biden is running for re-election in 2024.
Biden released a video early Tuesday morning, declaring he is formally entering the contest.
The President, who turned 80 in November and is the oldest President to ever serve, has already said Vice President Kamala Harris will run alongside him.
Biden has been huddling with his family and advisors in recent days before making the formal announcement. He has noted before that his age would not give him any cause for concern to run again for the oval office.
Tuesday marks four years since he declared his 2020 candidacy.
Biden joins 2020 foe and former President Donald Trump as the two major candidates already declared for the 2024 Presidential Election.
