(Washington, DC)  --  President Biden is pledging 95-million dollars to harden Hawaii's power grid against natural disasters.

This comes after Maui was devastated by wildfires earlier this month.

The funds will be used to strengthen critical transmission lines and other electrical infrastructure in the state.

The fires killed more than 100 people on the island and forced thousands to evacuate.
