Inflation heating up

(Washington, DC)  --  Consumers are getting some bad news this week as it appears inflation is heating up.

On Wednesday, the Consumer Price Index for August came out and it increased three-point-seven-percent from a year ago, up from three-point-two-percent in July.

The CPI measures consumer prices of anything from groceries to gas.

Then today, the producer price index report, which measures how much producers get for goods and services, was up seven-tenths of a percent in August and one-point six percent year-over-year.
