(Washington, D.C.) -- House Speaker Kevin McCarthy says he isn't concerned about Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz's efforts to oust him as speaker.

McCarthy said on CBS' Face the Nation it's a "personal" issue with Gaetz.  McCarthy noted that Gaetz was one of the last holdouts during the House vote for Speaker in January.  Gaetz announced Sunday he plans to file a motion to have McCarthy removed as speaker, making good on threats if a spending bill was passed with Democratic support.

"If somebody wants to remove (me) because I want to be the adult in the room, go ahead and try," said McCarthy to reporters this weekend.
