Investigation: Vietnamese agents tried to put spyware on American lawmakers' and Journalists' phones

(Vietnam)  --  An investigation found Vietnamese government agents tried to put spyware on American lawmakers' and journalists' phones.

Amnesty International and a consortium of media outlets conducted the probe.

Republicans Michael McCaul and John Hoeben and Democrats Chris Murphy and Gary Peters all were tagged in posts earlier in the year that had malicious links to install a spyware called Predator.

It also found that several CNN reporters were targeted.
