(Washington, D.C.) -- It's now the fourth day of fighting between Israel and Palestinian militant group Hamas.

This comes after surprise attacks from Hamas on Israel over the weekend that has left over 1,600 people dead between the two sides.  Israel has responded with many airstrikes on Gaza, the 140-square-mile area controlled by Hamas.

President Biden is scheduled to deliver remarks Tuesday on the terrorist attacks in Israel. Biden noted Monday it's likely American citizens are being held hostage by Hamas. At least eleven Americans have been killed in the fighting.
