Israel continues push into Gaza

(Tel Aviv)  --  Israeli forces continue to push further into Gaza as the war between Israel and Hamas goes past the one-month mark.

While in Tokyo today, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken reiterated the U.S. opposes Israel reoccupying Gaza once the war ends.

His comments came after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel will have "overall security responsibility" over Gaza after the war ends.

Meanwhile, Top G7 diplomats continue to call for "humanitarian pauses" in the fighting so aid can be delivered to civilians in Gaza.

Nearly 12-thousand people have been killed in the conflict.
