Immigration crisis at the border - Top Biden officials heading to Mexico

(Washington, DC)  --  Top Biden administration officials will head to Mexico in the coming days as there's a surge of migrants crossing the southern border.

National Security Council spokesman John Kirby told reporters today the secretary of state and DHS secretary will meet with the president of Mexico.

Kirby said they'll discuss further actions that can be taken in Mexico to slow down the flow of migrants.

The administration is facing sharp criticism on both sides of the aisles as there's been a record number of migrant encounters.

The White House says Congress has failed to pass any meaningful immigration reform.
