FDA warns public of counterfit Ozempic pills

(White Oak, MD)  --  The Food and Drug Administration is warning consumers about counterfeit versions of the diabetes drug Ozempic.

On Thursday the FDA announced counterfeit versions of the drug, popularly used for weight loss, have made their way into the supply chain.  Thousands of units have been seized to be inspected.

Officials say patients should carefully look at their prescriptions and should not use units with the lot number NAR0074.
