(Washington, DC)  --  Defense officials say the U.S. and United Kingdom carried out another round of strikes on Houthi rebel targets in Yemen.

The joint air strikes hit an underground storage site and locations associated with the group's missile and air surveillance capabilities.  This is the second time both U.S. and U.K. forces have conducted strikes on the Houthis in Yemen since the group began attacking international shipping in the Red Sea in November.

The Iranian-backed group says the attacks are in retaliation for Israel's bombing of Gaza.
