(Amarillo, TX)  --  Forecasters warn that weather conditions could make the largest wildfire in Texas history even worse.

The Smokehouse Creek Fire has burned over a million acres across the Texas Panhandle and into Oklahoma since Monday, and is still only 15% contained. The National Weather Service says  strong winds and dry conditions over the weekend could make the fire spread even more.

Red Flag warnings have been posted across the Central Plains, meaning there's a high risk of fire danger affecting over 8 million people.
