Biden: Netanyahu's approach to war in Gaza is a "mistake"

(Washington, DC)  --  President Biden says Benjamin Netanyahu's approach to the war against the Palestinian militant group Hamas is a "mistake."  

Biden sat down for an interview Tuesday with Spanish-language broadcasting company Univision and was critical of the Israeli prime minister. The President made clear that he does not agree with Netanyahu's approach. He also said Israelis should call for a ceasefire for the next six to eight weeks, to allow for "total access" to all food and medicine going into Gaza.  

Biden has been facing months of protests from Americans demanding a permanent ceasefire in Gaza and restrictions on U.S. military aid to Israel.
