(WDAY Radio) -- Students at Columbia University are learning remotely today due to pro-Palestinian protests on campus.

Today marks day six of demonstrations, and the school's president is calling it a crisis. Protesters say they want the school to divest from companies that they say profit from Israel's violations of international law and Palestinian rights. This comes after at least 40 protesters where arrested during a rally at Yale University.

Today marks Passover, a major Jewish holiday, that's set to begin this evening.
