New lineup to debut on The Flag beginning January 5

FARGO, N.D. – Fargo-based Flag Family Media has announced several programming changes beginning in early January 2026.

The changes will impact programming on two stations – AM 1100 The Flag WZFG in Fargo and AM 1090 The Flag KTGO in Tioga, beginning on January 5. The stations will no longer carry The Charlie Kirk Show and Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla.

Kirk’s show is coming to an end after his death earlier this year, Flag Family Media President Steve Hallstrom announced Monday morning.

“They’re going to do a podcast only,” Flag Family Media Partner Scott Hennen said of The Charlie Kirk Show.

Hallstrom also said dropping Failla’s show wasn’t an easy decision.

The new lineup on The Flag Fargo will feature Alex Taylor and Kevin Flynn on The Need To Know Morning Show from 6 a.m. until 9 a.m., followed by The Steve Hallstrom Show from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. and Scott Hennen’s What’s On Your Mind from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

“This gives us a great string of programming to start the day,” Hallstrom said.

A new addition to The Flag’s lineup is The Jay Thomas Show, which will be simulcast in both Flag markets and originating on WDAY Radio, also a Flag Family Media station. It’ll air from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.

Mark Levin will air on AM 1100 The Flag beginning at 5 p.m.
