New member appointed to N.D. Ethics Commission

BISMARCK, N.D. – Jared Huibregtse is the newest member of the North Dakota Ethics Commission.

He was appointed by state leaders on Tuesday to a four-year term.  The selection committee of Governor Kelly Armstrong, Senate Majority Leader David Hogue and Senate Minority Leader Kathy Hogan made the decision after a nearly two-month stalemate.  Commissioner Murray Sagsveen withdrew his name from consideration on Thursday after strong opposition from Governor Armstrong.

Huibregtse is a resident of Mandan and was one of seven finalists for the spot.
