North Dakota board to meet regarding Holmberg’s teaching license

(BISMARCK) – The board of the state’s licensing agency for educators will be meeting Friday to discuss the teaching license of a former North Dakota educator and legislator who has been convicted in engaging in commercial sex acts with a child in federal court.

Dr. Rebecca Pitkin, Executive Director of the North Dakota Education Standards and Practices Board, said the board will meet Friday morning at 8 a.m. to discuss the status of the teaching license of Ray Holmberg, who was an educator at Grand Forks Public Schools.

“The purpose of the meeting is to revoke the license,” Pitkin said in a statement.
