North Dakota Industrial Commission approves underground carbon dioxide storage

(BISMARCK, ND) – North Dakota’s three-person Industrial Commission board has approved parts of the Summit Carbon Solutions (SCS) pipeline project. The Industrial Commission is made of North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, Attorney General Drew Wrigley and Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring.

On Thursday, the Commission unanimously approved allowing SCS to store carbon dioxide underground permanently.
