GRAND FORKS, N.D. – A fire was contained to a kitchen in Grand Forks on Friday evening.
Crews were called to the 1100 block of Stanford Road just after 6 p.m. for a report of a structure fire.
When crews arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from the main floor of the building. Crews located the unit involved and extinguished the fire, containing it to the kitchen of the unit. Crews ventilated the rest of the building, overhauled the area involved and returned the building back to property management.
One person was displaced due to the fire, which remains under investigation.
