CROOKSTON, Minn. – The Polk County Sheriff’s Office has a new K9, Bo, thanks to a donation.
The office received the 14-month-old German Shephard from Germany from Mark “Mac” McDonough.
K9 Bo and his handler, Deputy Titan Engen, will train at McDonough’s school on handler protection, building and evidence searches, tracking suspects and lost people, suspect apprehension and drug detection.
The Sheriff’s Office will continue to raise money for K9 Bo for training and equipment.

Polk County Sheriff’s Office K9 Rex died in February after being diagnosed with Lyme Disease. He served with his handler, Sergeant Ben Stout, for seven years.
