NDPSC Denies Wind Farm's Lighting Extension Request

(Bismarck, ND) -- The North Dakota Public Service Commission is denying a wind farm's request for an extension to install lighting technology.

Rugby Wind parent company Avangrid Renewable made the request to help them comply with the state's law related to turbine lighting.

The company was considering putting in a system at the Pierce County wind farm that would dim the lights at night based on visibility conditions.

The FAA has not approved the technology.
