NDSU Shows Off New Seed Conditioning Facility

(Minot, ND) -- The NDSU North Central Research Extension Center in Minot is showing off its new seed conditioning facility.

The two-and-a-quarter million dollar project was completed thanks to state funding, assistance from Ward and Renville counties and the Mountrail Job Development Authority.

Center Director Shana Forster says the conditioning facility uses the most advanced technology to identify and sort seeds by their size, shape and color.

The center grows about ten to 12 different crops a year, on top of 30 different crop varieties.
