Pilot Killed In Emmons County Crash had Special Connection to the Military

(Emmons County, ND)  --  Reports show that the pilot killed in an Emmons County plane crash was known for honoring military members with flyovers.

63-year-old pilot Michel Gunia in 2019 did the flyovers at cemeteries across the state on days like Memorial Day. Gunia also did flyovers in his World War Two era 1941 North American AT-6.

Gunia was the owner of Northcentral Aviation in Linton, and died after crashing his crop sprayer Tuesday morning a few miles South of Strasburg.
