Some MN Health Workers Sue Over COVID Vaccine Mandate

(St. Paul, MN) -- Nearly 200 Minnesota health workers have filed a federal lawsuit over requirements to get vaccinated for COVID-19.

The lawsuit filed Monday names federal organizations as well as 20 state health care providers. This comes after President Biden announced pending vaccine mandates for millions of health workers at facilities that receive federal Medicare or Medicaid alongside other providers issuing their own requirements.

The plaintiffs, who want to remain anonymous, list objections due to religion, COVID infection-related immunity and rights infringements. Three doctors are part of the suit as well as a number of nurses, technicians and other staff.
