(Bismarck, ND) -- North Dakota's State Water Resources Department is welcoming a new state engineer.
Director Andrea Travnicek announced Wednesday that longtime employee John Paczkowski has been named to the job. The state engineer is key to operations in the new department.
The department was formed this year after the State Water Commission was restructured.
