Seven Horses Struck, Killed on Minnesota Highway

(Wadena, MN) -- Officials are reporting that seven horses were struck and killed in a crash on a Minnesota highway over the weekend.

Officials say before 7 a.m. on Saturday, a cargo truck was driving on Highway 29 near Wadena when it struck the seven horses, killing them. There is no word on why the horses were on the highway, but they reportedly belonged to an Amish community.

The driver of the truck was uninjured. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
