(Richland County, ND) -- The North Dakota Highway Patrol is blaming distracted driving for a semi rear-ending an SUV on I-29 in Richmond County.
The crash happened Tuesday morning at Mile Marker Eleven in the northbound lanes. The Highway Patrol says 59-year-old semi driver Mark Mehrer was cited for following too closely and distracted driving after he hit an SUV driven by an 87-year-old woman.
She and her 53-year-old female passenger suffered minor injuries.
