Former Police Officer Kim Potter found guilty on both counts

Minneapolis-- Former Brooklyn Center, MN Police Officer Kim Potter has been found guilty of first- and second-degree manslaughter in the shooting death of Daunte Wright in April.

Potter, 49, could face a maximum sentence of 15 years for the first-degree manslaughter charge, while the second-degree charge carries a maximum sentence of 10 years. She will be sentenced Feb 18.

In body camera footage of the incident, Potter was heard yelling “Taser” repeatedly before she shot and killed Wright during a traffic stop.
