Vehicle falls through ice on Lake Bemidji, two rescued

BEMIDJI -- Two people were rescued after a vehicle went through the ice of Lake Bemidji Friday night.  The Bemidji Fire Department responded to a report that a vehicle had fallen through the ice near Diamond Point Park with two people in the water. 

When they arrived, they found one person on the ice and immediately began looking for the second person.  Firefighters, Bemidji Police and Beltrami County Deputies located that person under the ice and began life-saving measures. The man was taken by Bemidji Ambulance to the Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.  His condition is unknown at this time.
