(Bismarck, ND) -- North Dakota is getting record-setting funding for home energy assistance through the American Rescue Plan.

The Biden administration announced last week that North Dakota would receive over 46-million for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program. The funds must be used during the current fiscal year that started October 2021 and last through the end of September this year.

The extra funding is part of a federal effort to help those with low incomes pay for rising energy costs.
