Northwest North Dakota gas pipeline active, adds capacity

(Tioga, ND) -- WBI Energy says construction and testing are complete for its North Bakken Expansion project.  

The project will transfer natural gas from core production areas near Tioga to the Northern Border Pipeline near Watford City. Officials say it will add 250 million cubic feet per day of natural gas in an area with limited ability to transport.  

North Dakota Pipeline Authority Director Justin Krigstad say the project will also reduce flaring.
