(Minneapolis, MN) -- Minneapolis students are headed back to school after the teachers and education support professionals union approved a new contract.

Both sides reached an agreement over the weekend and the union voted to ratify the contract Sunday. The union is reporting 75 percent of members voted yes to approve the new deal.

The move ends a nearly three-week strike. Teachers and support staff will return to work Monday, with students returning Tuesday.
