(Mandan, ND) -- No charges are being filed in the death of a six-year-old girl at Mandan's Independence Day parade.
Police say Mabel Askay's death was "a pure accident."
The recent kindergarten graduate was riding on the DK Orthodontics float that was headed toward the parade staging area that morning when she fell. She was struck by a tire and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
She was in town from Ventura, California visiting relatives.
