(Cohasset, MN) -- Minnesota Power is agreeing to close its two coal-fired power plants by 2035.
The plants are located in Cohasset under the Boswell Energy Center designation, and are the Duluth-based utility's largest electricity sources.
One plant is set to close by 2030, with other being shuttered by 2035.
The company is set to bring a significant amount of renewable power online before the coal plants close.
