ND State Highway Patrol vehicle damaged following rear-end collision

(Gardner, ND) -- No one is injured following a two-vehicle crash involving a North Dakota Highway Patrol Vehicle along I-29.

Authorities with the department say it happened around 12:50 p.m near Gardner. The department says a trooper was directing traffic off of I-29, with his patrol vehicle being parked near the bottom of the exit ramp when two vehicles approached. As the vehicles approached, one attempted to pass the other, and rear ended the patrol vehicle in the process. Both vehicles came to rest in lanes on southbound I-29.

No injuries are reported, and an investigation is ongoing at this time.
